I like this spelling more than Janessa. It's even prettier than Vanessa. You can nickname her Jen, Jenny, Ginger, Ness, Nessa or Nessy instead of Van or Vanny.

When I was little, I named my Halloween cat plushie Jenessa. I didn't know it was an actual name but it's pretty and exotic in a good way :)

My name is Jenessa. When I was little I didn't like it because I hadn't met another Jenessa, and I wished that I was named Jennifer. Now that I'm older, however, I LOVE it. Almost everyone that I've met has commented on how beautiful my name is, and I've never received any negative comments. Sometimes people spell my name 'Janessa' or call me 'Jessica' but it has never been a big deal to me. This name has also never been in the top 1000 names (as of 1900). I highly suggest this name - it's very pretty and unique - but good for all ages. It's gone with me from childhood to adulthood and I love it. :)

Maybe some people don’t like it because it seems like it might be a made up name? I’m not sure the reason. I know it sounds really pretty though.
