Meaning & History
Means "horn of the red deer" or "seed of the red deer" in Sumerian, deriving from the elements ๐ a ("arm, wing, horn") and ๐ป๐
lulim ("red deer stag"). This was the name of the legendary first king of Sumer, who is thought today to be a mythological figure. There is evidence it was never used as an ordinary given name in the Early Dynastic period of Sumer.
