My grandmother passed away about 4 years ago. Recently, a cousin of mine decided to name her daughter after her. I too would like to use this name, but I do not want to be rude. We come from a very large family and it is unlikely our children would spend much time together, but I'm afraid it would hurt feelings. Would it be inappropriate to give my daughter the same name as the family matriarch, or is it off limits now?
