Where does it come from?
The name Sanja is very uncommon in English speaking countries,but I live in Croatian and it is normal here.So,I was wondering about its ethimology and wether you know anyone with this name.Thanks!

Sanja is from Sonja, which is from Sonya.

What does this name actually mean? I'll ne a godmother of a girl whose parents would like to name her Assia (the mother being an Asian herself, and the father a Finn). I can only guess the name has a French origin, yet, I'' be glad to know more about its ethimology...Yrs,
