Means "horsetail (plant)" in Japanese from 土筆 (tsukushi). Other kanji combinations are possible.It was used in 1992 for the main character Tsukushi (つくし) Makino in the manga 'Boys Over Flowers' that later had many screen adaptations through Japan, South Korea and China.
