Pakistani Presidents and Prime Ministers

This list is comprised of the Presidents and Prime Ministers of Pakistan, which came into being in 1947 when British India was partitioned into the independent countries of India and Pakistan. The President is the head of state, currently a ceremonial role, while the Prime Minister is the head of government. The position of Prime Minister was absent from 1958-1973, 1977-1985, and 1999-2002.
