In Japan, the name Yukiko or Yuki are likely given to those who are born during the winter season or when it is snowing. As for myself, since I was born on Valentine's and during a winter month my Japanese name given to me was Yukiko which means Snow Child in Japanese language.
Before its premiere, the anime series Six Hearts Princess had a cosplay show in which a character was announced named Yukiko Nekodzuka (猫塚 ゆきこ). However, to date, she hasn't appeared in the show proper, though she was in some very early previews for it.

Yukiko (雪子) Kitano is a fictional character in the novel 'Battle Royale'. She is the girl #6.
It can be spelled as 幸子 (happiness + child) which is also the most common spelling for Sachiko as 幸 can be pronounced in different ways. Therefore Yukiko and Sachiko can easily be confused with each other.

Yukiko Iwai, also known by the nickname Yuuyu, is a Japanese singer and actress born May 26, 1968 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Iwai was a member of the all-girl pop group Onyanko Club, and she was the shortest of all the members at 150 centimetres. She was also half of the pop group Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi, a spin-off group of Onyanko Club. She graduated from Kaetsu Women's Junior High and High School, but left Kaetsu Women's Junior College before she finished. She is the younger in a set of identical twins.

She finished twentieth in the 10,000 metres at the 2008 Olympic Games, but was less successful in the women's 5000 metres, failing to make the final. Yukiko Sakamoto is a Japanese politician and bureaucrat from Mishima, Shizuoka. She was the first woman to be appointed vice-governor of Shizuoka Prefecture in 1996 and served one term in the House of Councillors in the National Diet from 2004 until 2009.
