The -th ending makes it sound old-fashioned but I don't think the name actually sounds ugly or anything. :) I believe Yorath should be used a lot more. It's starts with the letter 'y' and let's be honest- there aren't many great boy names one can think of beginning with 'y'.

In the Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo, Yorath Yewbeam appears on Charlie's family tree as his great-great-great grandfather. He was an evil shape-shifter and supposedly died when he was pushed off a cliff after posing as a teacher called Tantalus Ebony.
