No offense to anyone, but Yorban names have strange meanings. Almost like sentences.

We used to believe the souls of our parents were reborn in their decendants. The word yejide comes from three words, Iya = mother, ji = wake, de = arrive. Yejide means literally "our mother has come back from the dead" which is why we only call girls Yejide. Boys are called Babajide.
