It's not pronounced YA-ehl in Hebrew, it's ya-EHL. The emphasis is on the second syllable. Same with Ariel and Daniel in Hebrew (you have the correct pronunciation for these two on this site, but not for Yael). [noted -ed]

Yael is my name! A lot of people pronounce it as Yale, which is extremely annoying. It's pronounced as Yah-el. And I've never met anyone with the name Jael.
