Wout

Fun fact: in Dutch, 'Wout' (same pronunciation) is a derogatory slang word for a cop. The term first appeared in the late 17th century in Bargoens, a thieves' cant (secret language) that was spoken in the Low Countries until about 1950. Many words from the cant managed to become mainstream, allowing them to survive to this day. 'Wout' is one of them, as is 'smeris', another derogatory slang word for a cop.
