I know a boy with this name. He spells it like Wintynn though. He gets confused for Winston. I think I might actually prefer this to Winston however. It would make a solid middle name, and it’s friendly. Honestly, I like the sound of it. The meaning is intriguing but confusing.

I don't really see this as a first name because I've seen it used too often as a surname. My boyfriend's middle name is Winton; he said it was a name that ran in the family. It's very formal and almost regal sounding but I quite like it.

I prefer it spelled Wenton. I met someone named Winton, though and I'll never forget him not only because he was a very amazing individual, but because of his name. I think if you want to use a unique name, this is definitely one to consider.
