Wilford Woodruff (1807 – 1898) is an American religious leader and chronicler, known for his extensive journals and letters covering contemporary events. He has been called the best chronicler of historical events of his time. He was recognized as a prophet by those who share his faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wilford is my great grandfather's name. I think it has a very old fashioned vibe. Though, on documents they did sometimes misspell his name as Wilfred.
