I personally find the spelling Westley really odd looking. Especially when pronounced WEST-lee. I much prefer Wesley. It's more manly looking. Westley almost looks like a girls name to me. But I adore the name in general. :)

Both of the previous commenters about this name have gotten facts about 'The Princess Bride' movie wrong. First, the movie came out in 1987. Second, the name IS spelt Westley in the credits.

The Anonymous comment is wrong--The book WAS first, as it was published in 1973, and the movie was released in 1987. The spelling of the name is in fact Westley.(This just happens to be my favorite book and movie of all time! Great story! Though I do like the character Inigo a little more than Westley, the name Westely is a nicer-sounding name.)
Westley (also called Farm Boy) is one of the principal characters in William Goldman's novel The Princess Bride. It was made into a film (starring Cary Elwes as Westley and Robin Wright as his love, Buttercup) in 1986.
In the movie they spelled this name two different ways. In the credits it was spelled "Wesley" and on the back of the movie case it was spelled "Westley". Or vice-versa, I'm not sure which.
