Wenceslao Moguel Herrera (1896–1976), known as El Fusilado ("the Shot One"), Mexican soldier under Pancho Villa. Captured during the Mexican Revolution, he survived execution, though shot 8-9 times and even receiving the coup de grace, a final shot in the head at point blank range. Though permanently scarred and disfigured he survived for another sixty-one years.
Wenceslao Díaz Gallegos (1834–1895) was a Chilean scientist and medical surgeon, widely considered as one of the fathers of sanitation in the country, trainer of generations of medical professionals and first-time introducer of medical devices such as the thermometer and the hypodermic syringe in Chile.
Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad (1933 – 2016) was a Filipino lawyer who served as the Mayor of Pasay from April 2000 up to June 2010. He previously served as a member of the Pasay City Council from 1963 to 1967.
Wenceslao "Bintao" Vinzons (born Wenceslao Vinson; 1910 – 1942) was a Filipino patriot and leader of the Philippine armed resistance against the Japanese invasion in World War II. He was the youngest delegate to the 1935 Philippine Constitutional Convention. For leading demonstrations as a student leader, he was dubbed the "Father of Student Activism in the Philippines".
