Mò (莫) Wén Wèi (文蔚) alias Karen Mok (1970-) is a Hong Kong pop diva who is one of the leading Asian pop singers and actresses with a career spanning three decades. She is the first female Hong Kong singer to win the Golden Melody Award and has won it a total of three times.
I have this name in my Chinese name. It actually bears a very profound meaning and sounds quite intellectual and elegant. But it's much more common for girls and has not much strength inside.
I was looking through Chinese names for a story I'm writing, and a character's name is Tai-Wen. Literally, the name means "big culture and literacy," but I see that as a reflection of his sheer ambition.
