American actor Giovanni Ribisi championed a beautiful performance as combat medic Irwin Wade in the epic war drama, “Saving Private Ryan”.

I kind of like it. Pretty cool name.

My name is Wade. I am a pisces and an artist. I have been called Wayne many times. Wayne is a cheap name as compared and I was annoyed as a youth being referred to as such... AND yes I have allergies that muddled my saying of my name to sound like 'Wayne'

HOWEVER my name is Wade. I like my name because of all the current 20XX bullshite of name spelling, I am happy to have such a simple and purposeful handle of hearing in a crowded space. I can hear my name because no one else has it. I am Wade.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments about Wade. It's unusual and is clear and crisp when said. So much better than Wayne in my opinion.

This sounds extremely silly as a name. I respect its history, such as it being used in Gone with the Wind, but even that doesn't change my opinion.

I don't like the name. It sounds like someone with a flu trying to pronounce Wayne, another rather annoying and old-fashioned name, even though Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips seems like a cool enough bearer. Names with a 'w' tend to become a bit annoying in some people's pronunciation, so Americans, beware. The name also makes me think of Roe vs. Wade. As for now, I don't know which was which, so I can't quite know whether to simply dislike the name or to hate it with a passion.

I really like this name. I think it's very calm sounding, yet still full of strength. Wade seems like a person who would be very cool and laid-back.

One of the boys in my school is named Wade, and he is the only one in about twenty miles with the name. I can say from experience with this boy that Wade is someone who is nice, but takes a lot of things personally. Me and him are pretty much after each others' heads.

I think it is a really cool name, it's very differant and you don't meet people with the name "Wade" often. I also think it is incredibly rude to diss someone's name. You can say you don't like it, but why would you want to say it's disgusting?
