I think it’s really cute! It has a masculine feel as well to it, but since it’s for a girl, I would never change that. Interesting that it’s a form of Basil!
Miss America 2016, Betty Cantrell, has this as her real name, but she spells it Baciliky. (By the way, my phone autocorrected Vasiliki as Basilisk. :( )
One of the ugliest Greek names and far too common, the Vaso form is especially ugly sounding. The name is too mature/old and unrefined sounding but I guess you can try to save it with a Vicky or Silia nickname.

I had an aunt by this name. Her "official" English name was Bessie, but she was always called Betty. Other nicknames I have heard are Vickie and Kiki.
This is by far one of the most fabulous names ever. If I ever have a daughter, I'm tempted to give her this name, but it may be considered a bit to obscure. Oh well.
As far as I know, the nickname form is Vessie - but that's in an English-speaking environment.
