Valhildur

Derived from the Old Norse elements valr meaning "the dead on a battlefield, the slain" (as found in the word valkyrja) and hildr meaning "battle". Alternatively the first element may come from Primitive Germanic *walha- meaning "Celtic, Welsh, foreign".
