Some Finnish-American communities celebrate "St. Urho's Day" on March 16 - a tongue-in-cheek response to St. Patrick's Day. (St. Urho is celebrated for ridding Finland of grasshoppers, so you can judge his bravery for yourself...) :-)
I once knew a sled dog puppy named Urho, and he was a sweet heart. I also very much like this name--it's a strong name, but not one I'd ever use as a first name for someone.

More specifically, 'Urho' means 'brave man'. As a term, it is rather masculine. (Well, I'd never ever call a girl 'urho')
