I freaking love the name Ulrich so much! I actually discovered this name from watching Code Lyoko. ^^ Ulrich is a very handsome, solid, strong name. This is no doubt one of my favourite boy name beginning with 'u'. I'm not of German blood but I'd definitely consider using this name. I don't see anything wrong with using names from other cultures.
