I love this name Tove on a female or male. I think it should be a uni-sex name. Simply because I find it masculine too. It derived from the name Thor. Just my opinion.
There was a character in the Norwegian soap series Hotel Cæsar named Tove Jensen, she was a mute in the start but started talking later on. I don't watch the show anymore because soaps especially has this habit of changing characters too much and Tove was one of those written out early. She was my favourite in Hotel Cæsar!

"Tove" is my name and it is pronounced as "Toe-v", similar to toad. I have heard it being pronounced Too-vey, but this is the Swedish pronunciation, rather than the Finnish pronunciation.

Hm, Mr. Christensen's parents must not have realized this was a feminine name, which is odd, because they have Swedish ancestry.
