This is my dog's name… I didn’t choose it, it came with her. The only troublesome thing is that whenever I tell anyone her name, they assume she’s a boy haha. A pink collar has assuaged that a little bit though. Didn’t like the name at first but now I adore it because I associate it with my girl!
I can't stand when people feminize male's names. Logan, Jonythanne, Toni... I'm allowed to have an opinion as you are.

Toni the Tiger!
Toni is nice as a nickname, but it seems insubstantial as a first name. To me, it seems like a nickname that would work better on certain people. I personally see Toni fitting for someone who is very friendly, bubbly, and outspoken. Despite its resemblance to Tony, it seems girly to me and not very tomboyish.
Toni Topaz is also a popular female use of the name. She is a character in "Riverdale".
My name is just Toni. Every time someone calls my name they have to be convinced it's mine. When I am at Starbucks I have to use a fake name or be prepared to square off with the 4 guys in the room who think that's their coffee. Laugh- it's happened over and over, want to meet guys? Order food under Toni. Ha.

I'm surprised others had never heard of a girl named Toni before. I've met at least one woman/girl from every age-group with this name, it's the only boyish/unisex name I find timeless for girls. But personally I like it best as a nickname to something ultra-feminine like Antonia or Antoinette.
I have a friend named Toni, and she does get made fun of sometimes - nobody here realizes that it's a girls' name with an I at the end. They don't get out much, though. The Toni I know was named after her dad, who went by Tony.

Personally I'd never name my daughter this and I think it's better as a nickname, but it just works on some people, you know?
Well my name is Toni and personally I love my name because you don't really meet a lot of people with this name. It is unique for a unique girl. No matter what people have said about my name I just say to myself it doesn't matter who likes it or not as long as I like it.

Though I was named after my grandmother, Antonette, I have always used Toni as a nickname. It has imparted a certain stubbornness and strength to me, and a "quiet dignity and refinement", as an instructor once told me. While it is not completely feminine, it is not a "tomboy" name, either. It is unique. The only downside was that there were so many Tonies in my generation, that whenever you were in the hall at high school you didn't know whether someone was trying to get your attention or someone else's.
As a bearer of this name, when I was little I really disliked it, because as I was often told it was a 'boy's name'. It also got confused with Joni, Tori, and was often misspelled. Everyone thinks it's a very tomboyish name, and I'm a complete girly girl. However, since I've grown up, it has grown on me, and I couldn't think of another name I'd like to be. I'm glad I'm not a Jessica, the other name my parents were contemplating. :)
This name is awesome, tomboyish and cool. But I think it's better as a nickname.
My name is Toni and I used to hate it so much because people had never heard of a girl called Toni and it's still pretty much the same so come on people! Spread the name, I'm tired of getting strange looks when im asked my name!
