So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changes from "Masculine" to "Masculine & Feminine", and the "Meaning & History" section of this section should be changed to read, "Means "palm tree" in Hebrew. My friend is named Tomer. He is Israeli and living in the U.S. I think the meaning of the name suits him because he has a peaceful, calming presence, like a palm tree swaying gently in the breeze which gives one shade. His name is pronounced TO-mər or TOM-ər, like Topher, or maybe that's just the American English pronunciation.
