I tend to pronounce it close to the Lion King character (tea-moan) but shorten the first syllable’s vowel to ti (as in tick) and put the stress on the second syllable MOAN. Tih-MOANI like this name, but couldn’t use it as a first name since people would start singing Lion King songs to him when he introduces himself.
Timon in English is not pronounced as Simon. The name's pronunciation can be heard in The Lion King which is ti-MON.
