My grandmother was named Otilda, but went by Tillie. I think it's really pretty, and works well as a nickname for both Matilda and Otilda.
When I was born my mom bought me a cabbage patch doll named Glenna Matilda, since I couldn't say Matilda, I just called her Tillie. So when I hear this name, I think of my childhood doll.
Cute name, but it reminds me of a store called Tilly's. Spelt differently of course.
I think this is a very cute name! My friend's name is Tillie Carmit Rose, and she likes her name!
Tillie is a sweet cute name. I prefer the nickname Tillie over the Matilda which sounds cold and harsh.
