Tena

I was named after my great-great aunt, who emigrated from the Czechoslovakian region during the 1880s. She didn't have any children and was afraid she'd be forgotten, so my mother promised to name a daughter after her. All my life, I've had this weird name and couldn't find out anything about it, so I'm really happy to have a better understanding of my name's origin. It makes me feel more connected to my family history.

I consider this name childish. It's very common in Croatia. The oldest Tena I know is 13 years old.
