Tegwen Malik is a Welsh former professional squash player. At 17, she was the youngest ever winner of the Welsh Senior Closed. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 16 in January 2000. She often competed in the top men's leagues in Wales and as the number one player in the Professional Bundelsleague in Germany. She was a well-respected player on the professional tour and was often admired for her athletic abilities on the court.

Tegwen Matthews (née Perkins, formerly Thomas (used between 1979–1987)) is a Welsh amateur golfer. She played in four successive Curtis Cup matches from 1974 to 1980, the first Welsh woman to compete in the event.

"Tegwen" is strangely and captivatingly alluring... especially visually through written word. It seems so graceful, so pure yet nearly battle-ready. I would never dub it as a child's first name (as a note: I am not Welsh so that is a large contributing factor), but a middle name may be doable.
