This name is also used / has been adopted by the Northern Selkup indigenous people of the Yamal Peninsula, Siberia.
Absolutely beautiful!
This is my name and I absolutely love it. People call me Ana for short though because it's funny (sad) hearing them try to say it. To those that don't like this name, I'm pretty sure your common underdressed name is so much better!
Looks too much like the word sneeze, and also seems very ugly.
I have only recently heard the name Snezhana. A new co-worker, who is a sweet Ukrainian lady, has this name and I thought it was interesting. None of my co-workers can pronounce it correctly, so they call her Anna. I probably wouldn't name my daughter Snezhana, but I still think it's a nice name.
Another variation of this name is Snejana, and a (semi) famous bearer is Ukrainian model, Snejana Onopka.
Also Serbian.
Derives from the word "sneg" meaning - snow. Could be translated as Snow White.
