I like the origin of the name. And I called my bird Sinjin. He reacts on it!

David Haig portrayed the character Bernard Geoffrey Sinjin Delaney in Four Weddings and a Funeral. You may recall that the vicar, played by Rowan Atkinson, mispronounces 'Sinjin' during wedding two.
I saw in a name book that this is a variant of "Sinjon" which sounds more like St. John.
A boy in "Victorious" is named Sinjin! I was wondering if it was a real name. Haha I kind of like it!

Also, in the James Bond movie "A View to a Kill" there is a man named James St. John Smythe and they call him Sinjin.
This name makes me think of Injun Joe. Yeah. Not a good association.
Gimme a break. This name looks and sounds Indian. It sounds nothing like St. John. It's a silly name. Utterly hideous.
I think this more phonetic version of St. John is much easier to pronounce. In Charlotte Brontë's "Jane Eyre", her cousin, St. John Rivers', name always confused me. I think it's very lovely though, very origional, and extremely underused. Great name.
