It may sound silly mispronounced in English, but the way it should be pronounced in Hebrew is more like sh’lo-MO. The vowels are short, especially for the first syllable. It’s rarely used outside of Israel, the place where it would be pronounced correctly.

It’s wonderful that this name that became a Jewish stereotype among antisemites means peaceful and is the Hebrew form of one of the more prominent Biblical prophets.

Goes well with the last name "Shekelstein", in my opinion.

Rabbi Schlomo Schlomberg is a famous troll on Yahoo Answers.
This name cracks me up. It's so stereotypical and funny-sounding. If I'm totally honest, I find über-Jewish and Yiddish names hideous, and this is really bad even by their standards! You know a kid named this would just be called ''homo-Schlomo'' today. Kids are mean.
