From Japanese 静 (shizu) meaning "quiet" combined with 哉 (ya), an exclamation, 也 (ya) meaning "also", 夜 (ya) meaning "night", 耶 (ya) meaning "wrong, evil, depraved, vicious, perverse, heterodox" or 弥 (ya) meaning "universally". Other combinations of kanji are possible.
