It reminds me of Sharia law... so that messes this name up for me. And it kind of does sound feminine, like Sharon and Mariah.

I don't like this name. It sounds arrogant and pretentious due to the meaning. I feel that using it would reinforce the stereotype that Muslims are cruel.

This sounds like the sort of name a religious lunatic and zealot would name his son.

What's up with that disgusting Islamophobic comment? Shariah sounds silly as a name, though - I've never heard it as a name except on this site. And I know plenty of Muslims.

It sounds to me like it should be a girl's name.
