It is sad to see racists in these comments belittle and denounce the naming of CHILDREN. The "Sha" prefix is common in European names. "Quille" is French. It is only "ghetto" that a name is a mixture of European because black people were clever and mixed names. Most "black names" are white. They're usually mixed between different European root names or European and African root names. This is not ghetto uncleverness. This is classy cleverness that is being denied by racists who know nothing about the history of names.
A horrible name. It's only known because of a scummy double-digit IQ basketball player. Only someone equally dumb would want to name their child after that Lurch-looking goofball.

The name Shaquille was given to 55 boys born in the US in 2015.
Shaquille sounds very artificial, and obvious that the parents are obsessed with Shaquille O'Neal. The -quille makes the name look faux-French and even girly.
Unfortunately enough, some idiots have named their son Shaquille after Shaquille O'Neal. Now, one would think that even if you admire that dork, you wouldn't be stupid enough to use this name on your child. He's still remembered, but I wonder what people will think when the Shaquilles born in the mid-nineties are in their thirties. On the other hand, it doesn't make your parents look very smart if they named you after a basketball player, so I guess it might even be better if this name isn't connected to anyone. This name will, however, lead to negative stereotypes and low expectations. Or should I say that it already has, as the damage has been done?
