My name is Sevin, and I have always pronounced it Suh-VINN. The person who named me is no longer alive, so I have no idea what it meant to them or why they named me that, but from Google and my interpretation, it means love, joy, and perseverance. According to websites, it's mostly a last name, but this is my given/first name, and contrary to those websites, I am female, not male, though in my opinion it is a gender-neutral name.
