I would love to know who decided that this could be a feminine name. It sounds so tacky and cheesy on a girl. Even on a boy it looks weird because it reminds me of Scottish Terriers, which are often called Scottie dogs.
I think it's cute for a child, but it will not age well, especially on a woman. A male Scottie could be a Scott, but there are no good feminine full names for Scottie. Scottie being a nickname for Scott is kind of what makes it weird on a woman in the first place. It seems endearing on a little girl, but it would get old. I could see it on a grown man, but on a grown woman much less. Don't name your kid something just because it's cute on a baby.
Really tomboyish, I like it.
We might name one of our daughters Scottie after my dad, Scott.
I wouldn't trade my name for any other name in the world. I also like that it is a little different than those that spell it with a "y".
My dad's name is Scottie and I think it says that he is a real man!
I like it well enough but I'm scared to tell people at my school my dog's name if they ask. All the boys will break out into that stupid song from that repulsive movie Eurotrip.
