Some people are taking the quest for an original name too far. This is just silly and I find it upsetting that I have heard of multiple girls being named Scotlyn.
If you want to honour your Scottish heritage, you could go with Alba, the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland. It's pretty, an actual name and rare in the US.

I typically don't like names ending in Lynn because they're overly popular, but I like this one and don't consider it strange.
I am surprised this name is not popular at all considering it looks fashionable like Katelyn or Brooklyn.
I can't see why this name is ridiculous considering the suffix Lynn is trendy and so are place names.
