For some reason it sounds like a very good name for a snake, or a Slytherin character. LOL. I like it better than Shealtiel.

You can add the usage of "Biblical Latin" to this name, for Salathiel is also the form used in the Clementine Vulgate (1592) and the Nova Vulgata ("Neo-Vulgate", 1979). These two are respectively the former and current official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church.
Sources used:
- Clementine Vulgate:

(in English; note that it was the Church's official Bible for nearly 4 centuries!)
- Nova Vulgata:

- Ezra 3:2 (Old Testament):

(in Latin)
• Nova Vulgata:

I like it more than Shealtiel but I don't have very strong opinions on it.

For some reason this strikes me as an AWESOME name for a villain in a fantasy novel. Maybe I will just have to write one.
