Rudy

Rudy Law is the name of Jude Law & Sadie Frost's younger son.

Rudy was the name of the cool kid from the 1980s film “The Monster Squad”.

I can think of a couple of songs with the name Rudy, probably the most well-known being Rudie Can't Fail by The Clash. The Rudys in these songs are members of the rude boy subculture, which originated in Jamaica and in the USA is associated with reggae and ska music. Wikipedia says that the terms "rudy" and "rudie" are alternative terms for "rude boy," but not having any ties to the subculture I can't personally speak to this.

Rudy Pankow is an actor best known for his role of playing JJ Maybank in the show Outer Banks.

Rudy Strongwell is a supporting character from the webcomic “Rain” by Jocelyn Samara D.

Rudy Tabootie is the protagonist of the 2002 Nickelodeon cartoon “ChalkZone”.

Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show was originally supposed to be a male character, but the actor who auditioned and won the part (Keshia Knight-Pulliam) was so good that they made Rudy a female character and gave her a more feminine full name to go with it: Rudith Lillian Huxtable. I don't think Rudith is a real name, but maybe she's supposed to be named after relatives named Ruth and Judith.

Rudy Steiner is a character in the AMAZING novel "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak.
He's a young boy from a poor family living in Germany during World War Two, who would run through the streets pretending to be Jesse Owens, and became the main character Liesel's best friend.
I don't want to ruin the book for anyone, so I won't tell you anything else about him, but many people I've talked to who read "The Book Thief" consider him their favorite character (including me.) I didn't like the name Rudy/Rudolph before, but, to me at least, Rudy in "The Book Thief" gave me a better image, although I still wouldn't name my kid this. :)

Rudy is the name of a 1993 movie starring Sean Astin.

Rudy Giuliani is the famous mayor of New York City who pulled the city together after the 9/11 destruction of the Twin Towers. He is known as "America's Mayor."

Rudy was used for the youngest daughter on The Cosby Show (but that character was supposed to be a boy, Bill Cosby made Rudy a girl when that little actress came to the audition).
