Nathan from One Tree Hill's full name is Nathan Royal Scott and, of course, Royal Tenenbaum is the name of a character in the film The Royal Tenenbaums. I understand using this name as a reference to pop culture but the truth is this name is just too tacky and out there to be taken seriously. It is one of those names that would give a person trouble in life. Imagine looking through job applications and seeing someone with this name in the stack. I'm sorry but they would immediately be at a disadvantage. If this was my name I would go by Rory.

I'm going to pretend that this name isn't listed in the charts as well! To say that "Royal" is a terrible name for anyone is a monumental understatement. Also, one with this name is bound to be very conceited or have self-esteem issues from all the years of being mercilessly bullied with having this name.

I think the name Royal is beautiful because it is my name and I am a female. I always get compliments on my name: Royal Azure. I haven't ever received strange looks because of my name. What a silly name. It actually sounds a bit like a name low class people would use. If ghetto and trailer park people name their kids Chardonnay and Lexus, sure the less wealthy types would have picked this name too. I can't imagine anyone using it anymore, though.
