I think Roxana is a gorgeous name that sounds classy yet modern and unique at the same time. I love Roxi/Roxy for a nickname. I also love the meaning, and I think the name ages flawlessly. Overall, I think Roxana is a lovely name.
Roxana is exotic and pretty, and it sounds spunky while managing to be sophisticated enough for a career or an older woman. A timeless name indeed. Also, the meaning is quite appealing. This is my favorite of the Rox- names.
I was born Roxana, but over the years, it got revised to Roxanne. I used to hate my name because it was so different and unique in my area. Now, I've grown to love my name because of its uniqueness. Roxanne/Roxana means "Dawn." Or "Little bright star."

I think this is an absolutely wonderful name, really beautiful and strong-sounding, although despite this, I do not consider this being usable, except on somebody who is Middle Eastern or of Persian/Middle Eastern descent. I think the name Roxanne is more of a westernized version, and could be usable for Europeans, but, unfortunately, I don't like this variant.
This is really cool, because my name is Roxana. My nickname is Roxy. I was born and raised in Sweden, but my bloodline is Persian. So everybody calls me IceRoxyy! Yes, this is one of the best names in the world. And I don't mean because my name is Roxana, but because you can experiment with it, and change it into different names.
I really like this name. It sounds like a name that would belong to someone strong, punkish, and clever. However, I am less passionate about the nickname of "Roxy".
