Roderic was also the Dutch spelling for Roderick in medieval times, and the most common one at that. Over time, Roderic was replaced by Roderick as the most popular spelling of the name. However, the archaic spelling still remains in use in The Netherlands, but it is rare: in 2010, there were only 45 men who carried this name (of which 30 of them had it as a first name).
