Derived from the Greek noun ῥηξήνωρ (rhexenor) meaning "bursting through ranks of armed men (of the enemy)", which consists of the Greek noun ῥῆξις (rhexis) meaning "breaking, bursting, breaking forth" combined with the Greek noun ἀνήρ (aner) meaning "man".This is the name of several characters from Greek mythology, one of which is a son of king Nausithous of the Phaeacians. Rhexenor was also an epithet of Achilles, a Greek warrior who was one of the heroes of the Trojan War.
