With regards to "Rena" also being a Japanese name - there is a similar Japanese name which uses the same spelling (when written in English), but the two names should be listed separately due to being etymologically unrelated. The Japanese name is also pronounced differently. You could submit the Japanese name "Rena" yourself if you so wished.
I feel like I am the only Rena that pronounces my name as REH-NAH rather than REE-NAH. Just wondering if this is how anyone else pronounces Rena. Also, what does everyone think of this pronunciation as opposed to Ree-Nah?

My name is Arrena. Pronounced “ah ree na”. I was named after my great grandmother and I am called Rena for short. I’ve only met one other Arrena in my 67 years so I guess it’s somewhat rare and I don’t know its ethnicity.

Very pretty stand alone name. I’ve also heard it as a cute nickname for the name Maureen a few times.

My name is pronounced "Reena". I've met only 3 people in over 50 years with the same name (not a short form of a longer name). One reason I like the name is because you can't tell the age of a person like you can with some popular names, and there's never another one on the same team or in the same class.
I know one person named Rena. (ree-nah) It's a really pretty and uncommon name, surprised to see it's not even in the top 1000 anymore! It could also be a nickname for marina.
My full name is Serena, so my grandma, not liking Serena, always called me Rena (ree-na). I used to dislike it and asked her to stop using it, but I actually really like it now. My full name is serious and dignified, but Rena is fun and cute.
In the Digimon series, there is a character called Renamon. All of there names end in mon, but without that part is the name Rena.

I know a girl named Marena (ma-REEN-a) whose nickname is Rena (REEN-a). I think it's pretty as a nickname or as a full name. Plus, Rena-Bean or Rena-Beana are cute nicknames! :)
My name is Rena and when I was younger I didn't like it because it is so unusual but everytime I meet someone new they tell me they love my name because it is unusual but pretty. It has grown on me.
