I'm almost positive the above poster is Finnish, and another Finnish person told me this was almost the definitive "baby-boomer" male name in Finland. This strikes me as so strange, since I'm looking at the name with fresh eyes and it sounds so... youthful. Shame it has such a negative image in Finland...

Definitely a very old-fashioned name. Makes me think of trashy and bloated middle-aged guys who drink too much and shout obscenities to women.
