In my opinion, it's quite classy and somehow even royal. There's the added nickname of Reggie as well. I likely wouldn't use it on my child, but perhaps instead on a fictional king or prince.
Such a great name, full of character too. One of those rare names that suits all ages from a young baby to an old man. Reggie is a cute nickname and Reg is a loveable and protective hard man name 10/10.
Literally the coolest name ever, you guys are just losers afraid of being cool.

I used to hate Reginald with a passion. I used to think it was an absolutely hideous name. Now I kind of like it and think it's cool. I would use it, actually.
Obviously this is a strong, powerful, masculine name. It's pretty rare in these days, not much used anymore as some decades ago, but still, Reginald is a good quality name!
A wonderfully classic old English men’s name and sadly very rare today but somehow this adds to its charm for me. It’s very formal and almost regal sounding and as mentioned below the nicknames Reg and Reggie are both adorable and cool sounding for when they are younger.
Reggie is just one of the coolest nicknames that one can be given. And then there's the drastic, almost comical semantic juxtaposition between 'Reginald' and 'Reggie' given by stereotypical norms. Beautiful.
When I was younger I hated the name Reginald and often wondered what on earth were my parents thinking. Yet the older I become the more I have come to appreciate such a noble and powerful name as Reginald.
I surprisingly really like this name. But I think you would name the child Reginald but refer to them as Reggie. I wouldn't be surprised if it came back into fashion again as I'm hearing a lot of baby Charles and Alberts here in England and my friend had a baby yesterday who she named Reginald (or Reggie) and it really suits him. It sounds sweet.
I like the nickname Reggie, but the full name Reginald sounds kind of stuffy and pretentious. I think these days, it's more suited for a pet than a child.
