Rameshwar

Rameshwar is another name given for Lord Shiva or his other name Lord Ishwar, by Lord Ram on the day he worshiped and called upon Lord Shiva on the Southern beach of India to help him, his brother Latchman, King Sugriv and his army of apemen including Lord Hanuman, with building a floating stone bridge across the sea from South India to Sri Lanka, to rescue Lord Ram's wife, Sita, who was kidnapped by the Demon King, Ravan that ruled over Lanka.
