Rafaela Chacón Nardi (1926 – 2001) was a Cuban poet and educator. She was the author of more than 30 books. In 1971, at the request of UNESCO, she founded Grupo de Expresión Creadora (Creative Expression Group). She directed the Clubes de Promoción a la Lectura (Reading Promotion Clubs) for blind and low vision adolescents in Cuba. She was the recipient of the Alejo Carpentier medal.
Rafaela de Herrera y Torreynosa (1742–1805) is considered a national heroine of Nicaragua, due to her actions in the defense of the Fortress of the Immaculate Conception during the Battle for the Río San Juan de Nicaragua in 1762 against the British forces. She was a Spanish criolla.

Currently, she occupies the graduation third sergeant in the Navy of Brazil and integrates the Center of Physical Education Admiral Nunes, the Military Sports Department.
I adore this name! This is definitely one name I would consider using in the future. It's definitely my prefered spelling of the name, with an 'f' instead of 'ph'. It's just so lovely, exotic and feminine, I'm hoping it doesn't become popular!
