I'd strongly consider this for a middle name. I've come across a "Meadow" before, but never a "Prairie". It just invokes such a perfect picture of the countryside. Given the lack of possible nicknames, I think I'd avoid using it for a first name simply because there's no alternative for the child other than to face this name head on. You never know what personality your kid will have, so if she's not real girly and frilly, she might resent the name as a first eventually. But it's definitely a beautiful name and a conversation starter for sure.
