Plinio Nomellini (1866–1943) was an Italian painter. He took part in the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1889 and moved to Genoa, where he adopted Divisionism, the following year. He exhibited a piece inspired by the Genoese workers' strikes at the 1st Brera Triennale in 1891 and was arrested on charges of anarchism in 1894.
Plinio Apuleyo Mendoza (born 1932) is a Colombian journalist, writer, and diplomat. He is very well known for his close friendship with the literature Nobel prize winner Gabriel García Márquez. Mendoza and García Márquez spent time in Europe during the early 60s. Mendoza published a biographical novel regarding the life and anecdotes of García Márquez and their circle of friends, poets, and writers during those years in Europe.
Plinio is also the Galician form of Pliny. Also, Plínio is the correct Portuguese form of Pliny, *not* Plinio. [noted -ed]
